In a heartening display of love that defies all odds, Willowgrove Park’s lakeside neighbours, Debbie and Mac, have officially announced their engagement this January. The news has brought a wave of joy and celebration across the serene park, with residents raising glasses in honour of the couple’s delightful union.
After over 40 years of life in Canada, Mac found his way to the tranquil environment of Willowgrove Park in Lancashire, seeking a peaceful retirement. Little did he know that fate had other plans. Just 18 months later, Debbie, an entrepreneurial dog groomer, moved into the park, striking up an unlikely yet profound friendship with Mac. Their bond quickly blossomed into a beautiful love story, capturing all our hearts in the process!
The couple’s engagement has not only been a source of happiness for them but has also brought joy to their circle of Willowgrove friends and neighbours. Neighbours and friends across the park have joyously partaken in the celebrations, witnessing the power of love in bringing people together.
Looking ahead, Debbie and Mac are excited to embark on a new chapter in their lives. They have plans to purchase another lakefront lodge at the renowned UK Leisure Park, The Smithy in Cabus, Garstang. This new home promises a picturesque setting with its own mooring. This will be perfect for the couple’s boat. Here, they intend to spend their days in bliss, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of each other’s company.
The Magic of Love
The story of Debbie and Mac is a testament to the unpredictability of life and the magic of love. It reminds us all that no matter the stage of life, new beginnings can blossom in the most unexpected places. Willowgrove Park and its residents are proud to have been part of this beautiful journey and look forward to celebrating many more milestones with the happy couple.
