We chat with Louise Roberts of Pario Leisure, to discuss the park industry, her role, and what she likes to do when not working.
Hi Louise, thank you for taking part in the interview. Can you tell us a bit about your journey into the park industry – what led you to where you are now?
I started working in caravan parks in 2003, I worked in holiday sales and customer care while I was in college. I started my journey selling caravans in 2004, I worked for Haven for just under 15 years, I then worked for Park Leisure at Plas Coch as the Assistant Sales Manager. Then in January 2019 I started working for Pario Leisure as a Sales Manager, I have been with Pario Leisure for just over 5 years.
Tell me about your role?
Group sales manager for our 4 parks, overseeing all sales, sales team training paperwork and finance.
Where do you like to holiday?
Las Vegas and Paris are my favourite.
What do you find the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Helping families make memories – and coaching team to be great and achieve great things.
Do you have any advice to those starting out in the industry?
Learn everyday / follow the process and do everything with empathy.
If you weren’t doing what you do now, what would you be doing?
There is nothing else I would do I love my job.
Outside of work, what are some of your interests or hobbies?
I love walking and taking December off to holiday.
Looking ahead do you have any personal and professional goals for the next year?
Keeping fit always be positive – sell out of holiday homes on all parks.
