A beautiful luxury lodge retreat, Plas Isaf Lodge Retreat by Darwin Escapes, has seen a surge in interest from potential holiday homeowners nationwide.
Just one year since its opening, following a substantial redevelopment, both permanent residences and rental accommodations at this 40-acre site are in high demand.
Darwin Escapes, a well-established firm based in Talacre, has invested significantly in Plas Isaf Lodge Retreat, located just outside Caerwys, Flintshire.
The company, with over 900 employees and ownership of 26 resorts across the UK and Isle of Wight, has made notable improvements including new access roads, top-tier lodges, enhanced drainage, landscaping, and infrastructure. Notably, efforts have been made to conserve and protect existing wildlife habitats, particularly bat and badger colonies.
Plas Isaf Lodge Retreat offers 17 lodges for sale, with prices ranging from £60,000 to £200,000, and 40 rental units, some featuring hot tubs.
Shaun Roberts, Group Head of Sales at Darwin Escapes, highlights Plas Isaf as one of the company’s premier destinations. Despite recent challenges in the sector, Roberts remains optimistic about the future; “As a company, sales are up in comparison to last year and momentum is building, so we have taken a lot of encouragement from that.
That’s certainly the case in North Wales and at Plas Isaf, where we have had a lot of positive feedback and interest from prospective buyers in different areas of the UK, especially the North West and Midlands. The location in particular is so attractive, perfectly placed off the A55, with beautiful countryside, local attractions and things to do, so we expect that interest to be converted into sales in the months ahead.” With over 25 years of experience in the tourism industry, Roberts emphasizes the uniqueness of the site, catering to a wide range of preferences.
Plas Isaf Lodge Retreat offers more than just luxurious accommodations. Energy bills are covered for the first season, and guests have complimentary access to leisure facilities at nearby New Pines Holiday Home Park in Rhyl, including a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and gym.
Shaun Roberts describes the lodges as both comfortable and an escape from the daily routine, crafted with care for the environment and local wildlife. “These luxury lodges are homely and spacious but also an escape, away from the daily grind and day-to-day life,”
“Plas Isaf is special as it was a complete renovation, it has been developed from the ground up while sympathetic to the environment, wildlife, and its natural surroundings. We are also keen to support independent food and drink producers locally – and we will be looking to do more in the years ahead – as part of the community and in support of the Flintshire economy.”
